An exhibition titled "Rare plants of the Caucasian flora" dedicated to "Science Day" was held in the Central Botanical Garden of ANAS

March 27-29, 2019 in the Central Botanical Garden of ANAS the scientific-educational exhibition "Rare plants of the Caucasian flora" devoted to "Science day" was held.

The main purpose of the exhibition was to inform the public about the research of rare plant species in Azerbaijan in recent years and the scientific achievements of scientists in this area.

Director of the Central Botanical Garden of ANAS, Doctor of Biological Sciences Vahid Farzaliyev spoke about the role of the Central Botanical Garden in the study of the richness of the Caucasian flora and its flora diversity, as well as the achievements made by the employees of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, students and schoolchildren.

Director of the Institute of Botany of ANAS, academician Valida Alizadeh highlighted the importance of the work carried out in this field and spoke about the importance of scientific researches in the modern world, new approaches and emphasized the importance of preserving the flora richness of our country.

Other guests participating in the event spoke about the importance of the exhibition and the successes achieved in biodiversity conservation in our country in recent years.
