COLLABORATION

Scientists of CBG with the staff of Institute of Botany has been involved in joint projects carried out within framework of international projects for Saving Caucasus Biodiversity, with Missouri Botanic Garden, US (2006-2009), Berlin Botanical Garden and Botanic Museum (2009-2012) and Millennium Seed Bank, Kew Gardens, UK (since 2012).

In 2014, a memorandum of cooperation was signed with a group of Dendroecology of the Swiss Federal Institute on Forest, Snow and Landscape Research (WSL). Currently, Garden activities related with international collaborations are expanding.

Qazaxıstanın Cezqazqan Nəbatat Bağı(2015-ci ildə) ilə əməkdaşlıq haqqında memorandum imzalanmışdır.

Mərkəzi Nəbatat Bağı müxtəlif təşkilatlarla toxum mübadiləsi üzrə beynəlxalq əməkdaşlıq edir. 2016-cı ildə Bağ dünyanın müxtəlif ölkələrindən 93 təşkilatla ilə toxum mübadiləsi aparır.

Hazırda Bağın beynəlxalq əməkdaşlıqla bağlı fəaliyyəti genişlənməkdədir.

The Central Botanical Garden was founded in 1934. The first plantings in the Central Botanical Garden were made in spring of 1935. From the first days a wide research is under way in the Central Botanical Garden concerning introduction and acclimatizing ornamental, drug, aromatic and other types of useful plants of native and foreign flora in order to enrich the raw material resources of the republic. A number of much valuable tree, bush and grass kinds from different botanical-geographical areas of the world (Eastern Asia, North America, Meditteraenian coast etc.) are cultivated in the garden together with the plants belonging to the native flora. As a consequence today the collection of the Botanical Garden, 41,3 ha in area, numbers about 2500 species, forms and varieties.
